Sam & Dan have a tough time this leg of the race - better luck next Sunday.
Sam and Dan were the first place finishers for the last leg of the race, and leave Amsterdam first and head off to the airport for a plane ride to Stockholm, Sweden. They talk about their sibling rivalry as Dan drives and Sam pokes fun at him.
When they get to Stockholm they head to a Swedish amusement park, Tivoli, to find their next clue. Most teams including the boys get on the first flight and then the boys share the first train into downtown Stockholm. The take a ride straight up and have 15 seconds to spot an arrow to the next clue. The boys team up with the team in second place and spot the arrow quickly. They then play a game of Gnome Ring Toss to get the Travelocity clue for the next leg of the race. The boys get it first and remain in first place.
The next clue is a detour where they either blow something up or solve a riddle in ancient Viking language. The boys select to blow something up and seem pretty gleeful at the opportunity. The boys put on their safety clothes and run to build a bunker, blow up some dynamite, and dig out a box with their next clue.
The boys finish their bunker first, blow up some dynamite and then go searching through the dirt for their metal box with their next clue. The next clue takes them to a farm where they do a hay bale rolling task that is supposed to be extremely challenging and has been done on a previous Amazing Race season. The boys get to the farm in first place and Sam calls Dan a ‘bitch’ jokingly as they are loking for the farm.
Sam does the hay bale roadblock and Dan yells at him as he does the challenge. Sam tells him to shut up. He then tells him to please stop talking for 10 minutes – PLEASE! Dan was getting a little too anxious! Sam then flips off Dan and continues to look for a clue while the Globetrotters team finds their clue first and heads to the Pit Stop winning this leg of the race. Sam looks like he is going to give up! He is getting very frustrated and having a tough time finding a real needle in a haystack. Dan continues to yell at Sam and Sam continues to get frustrated muttering under his breath ‘I am going to kill my brother’.
The challenge is very stressful and even though the brothers got their in first place, they battle it out with one other team to see who will be in last place. Amazingly, the boys get their clue next to last and walk off with their arms around each other as Dan consoles Sam and congratulates him on his great job. Dan shows some tears and admits to being a jerk to Sam. It was very touching. The boys are good guys and show their strength and their compassion.
Lucky for everyone, this was not an elimination round and the farmer and his red-haired son get to stick it out for one more round! The globetrotter guys won this round and won a trip to the Turks & Caicos.
